It's a rare occurance but the other night we ran out of snacks to go with my evening beer.... or so I thought. My wife reminded me that there were still some things left in the box of goodies her mother had brought over from Japan at Christmas.
So I opened up a bag of what resembled some kind of Japanese "Bombay mix" consisting, amongst other things, of pumpkin and sunflower seeds, almonds, pine kernels and very small dried fish (eeeek!).

God i miss bombay mix :( You can ocasionally find something like it out here, but it aint the same. Have to stick rice crackers, spicy nuts, pumpkin seeds and so on. Not the same though. Sigh.

I wonder where that fish has gone
you did love it so
you looked after it like a son
and it went wherever I did go
Is it in the cupboard
(yes, its in the cupboard)
wouldn't you like to know
it was a lovely little fish
and it went wherever I did go
(its behind the sofa)
where can that fish be
(maybe one of the drawers in the bureau)
it is a most elusive fish
and it went wherever I did go
Oh, fishy fishy fishy fish
a fish a fish a fish a fishy roe
Oh, fishy fishy fishy fish
that went wherever I did go.
